If you are unsure what to do (or how to do it!) for the latest Pop Art White Nancy competition, why not drop by the Vale Inn on Thursday night at 7 pm. The Bollington Festival Photography group will be hosting a special clinic to offer photography advice. I’ll be there with my new macbook to help you learn some editing techniques. And the Vale will be serving up their best!

One Response to “Photo Surgery”

  1. I have not seen a UFO in Bollington; at least I don’t think I have? Though I did witness an extraordinary natural heavenly event some years ago whilst out on one of my night-time bike rides. I tend to come over to the town from Prestbury, then have a stop for some chips at the Chinese chippy at the top end of Palmerston St before heading up Smithy Brow and then over to Pott Shrigley and back round.

One night some years ago I stopped at the junction of Smithy Brow and Spuley Lane to finish my chips when all of a sudden the road and the roof of the cottage just in front of me lit up with a beautiful pink light. I immediately looked up into the sky and saw the most spectacular meteor I have ever seen! It headed over toward the South and was almost dazzling to look at, a bit like a pink arc weld. I thought it was actually going to hit the ground but it just faded out in complete silence as it passed over the hills, it was very fast! I still recall that sight when I go up there on my “bollipot loop” ride — it was quite extraordinary.
